Specialist Dyslexia Teaching
Lessons are structured, cumulative and carefully paced, providing the repetition and reinforcement that dyslexic learners need.
I use a range of multisensory teaching approaches to help your child develop and embed new skills and become a more confident, independent learner.
Teaching is tailored to your child’s individual needs and may focus on areas such as phonological awareness, reading, spelling, writing and memory strategies.
Developing metacognitive skills* – helping your child understand how they learn – is embedded throughout.
Key Stage 1+2 Teaching
Lessons are interactive, engaging and tailored to your child’s individual needs, using a range of teaching methods and approaches.
Teaching can support areas of the English and Maths curriculum where your child needs additional help, while building their confidence and independence as a learner.
Throughout the sessions, I encourage your child to think about how they learn, recognise the strategies that help them and become increasingly independent.
Cost
£52.50 for 55 minutes
Includes preparation and resources. Travel expenses may be charged depending on distance.
* Metacognition skills
Metacognition simply means thinking about how we think and learn. It helps learners recognise which strategies work for them, and to plan, monitor and evaluate their own learning.

If appropriate, I may suggest short, focused activities or games to reinforce learning between sessions. These are optional and will be tailored to your child and what we are working on together.
Every child learns differently, so tutoring is individually tailored to their needs. Sessions combine specialist teaching with engaging, evidence-informed approaches, while helping your child understand how they learn, develop effective strategies and become a more confident, independent learner.
Yes. Where possible, I encourage communication between home, school and myself. Sharing relevant information helps me understand your child’s needs and allows tutoring to complement the support and learning taking place at school.
