Meet Heather
If you’re considering an assessment or specialist tutoring for your child, you will naturally want to know a little about the person you will be working with.
Arrange a conversationI am a specialist dyslexia assessor and teacher, but my understanding of dyslexia is also personal. I am dyslexic myself and am also a parent of adult children with dyslexia, so I understand that its impact can extend well beyond reading and spelling.

My own experiences have shaped the way I work with children. I believe that understanding how a child learns, recognising their strengths and building a positive relationship are central to helping them develop confidence and independence.
Being dyslexic has moulded me into the person I am, but it has not defined me. I want the children I work with to understand how they learn, recognise their strengths and feel confident in themselves.
Away from work, I enjoy walking, cycling, reading and crochet, as well as spending time with my family and our two dogs.
